Optical Animal checked one off the bucket list in having the chance to collaborate with and work alongside writer and director Charlie Kaufman on his short film project,
Jackals & Fireflies.
Optical Animal provided on set in-camera projection effects, animated content, and pre-production screen tests for several scenes in the film, some of which were shot at our studio in Brooklyn during the two-week summertime stretch of principle photography.
The film is an adaptation of a poem by Eva H.D. of the same name, as told through the strange, sweet, and singular lens of Kaufman.
